Publications

The Centre for Teacher Education regularly publishes specialist literature that deals with new approaches to teacher education from a study as well as a research perspective. They are aimed at giving important impulses for the further development of education at schools and universities to all those involved in teacher education. In cooperation with the University and City Library, the Centre for Teacher Education publishes research reports, theses, and teaching and learning materials produced at the university as open access publications. In addition to specialist literature, the Centre for Teacher Education also provides information in image brochures, a supplement of the Cologne University Magazine (thematic focus on school) and in special issues related to the Centre’s theme years. These have been established in order to make room for exchange with internal and external partners on topics as digitilisation, leadership or the future of schools. The Centre for Teacher Education also produces films on a variety of topics, e.g. teaching education at the University of Cologne, the theme years or the winner of the tolerance award. They are available on the Centre’s own YouTube channel.
