Many Voices, One Classroom: Insights into Diversity in Education Today
From February to April 2026, student teachers from across Europe will come together for a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on diversity in education, including virtual sessions and an on-site week in Cologne (23–27 March 2026).
Teachers today must incorporate a wide range of issues into their classrooms. These include the well-being of students and teachers, cultural and religious backgrounds from around the world, multilingualism among students, gender issues, and the opportunities and challenges associated with digitalisation and artificial intelligence.
All these factors have an impact on teaching both inside and outside the classroom. So how can we welcome and shape diversity in our classrooms of the future?
This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) invites student teachers from across Europe to come together, explore key questions of diversity in education and work with agile methods on innovative new ideas in this field.
Programme Structure
Through a virtual preparation phase (9th February + 9th March, 4pm) an intensive on-site week in Cologne (23-27 March 2026), and a final virtual meeting (15th April 4pm) participants will actively engage with:
Challenges and opportunities of diverse classrooms
Gender sensitivity in modern classrooms
International exchange of perspectives and practices
This programme offers you the chance to gain new theoretical insights and above all practical strategies for inclusive teaching, while connecting with fellow student teachers from all over Europe.
