UNSAM, Argentine state university founded in 1992, has become a leader in higher education, research, cultural development and social transformation. More than a hundred undergraduate and graduate programmes are offered in a variety of fields, which include the following:

With the new curriculum of 2019, the University of Salzburg as part of the ”Cluster Mitte” (a cluster of cooperating universities, which encompasses study sites in Salzburg and Upper Austria) offers ample opportunities for teacher training students.

The teacher-training programme is based upon four pillars: two subjects, which can be chosen and combined according to the teacher trainee’s liking; comprehensive teaching methodology and pedagogy; and, what makes us stand out from other universities, five phases of practical teacher training (internships) in secondary schools. After graduating from our teacher-training programme, the teacher is qualified to work in any type of secondary school: polytechnic schools, special needs education, general secondary schools (AHS) and/or vocational secondary schools (BMHS).

The University of Guadalajara, located in Western Mexico, has become a reference for the training of education professionals focused on teaching foreign languages thanks to two degree programmes: in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and in Didactics of French as a Foreign Language. Additionally, this institution offers graduate programmes to train researchers and teachers with two master's degrees in English, a binational master's degree in German (University of Leipzig - University of Guadalajara) and with the upcoming opening of a second binational master's degree in French, associated with the University of Rennes.
These curricula have the common objective of highlighting the importance of teaching and learning foreign languages in the Spanish-speaking American context, as well as promoting the understanding between different societies and cultures.

The Faculty of Education at the University of Namibia is the largest out of eight faculties at the University of Namibia. To ensure equitable access to teacher education programmes across the country, our undergraduate programmes are offered on six different campuses (including the Southern Campus) across the country. All satellite campuses offer the Bachelor of Education-degree in Pre- and Lower Primary Education, preparing teachers to teach in grades 0 – 3 as well as children between the ages of 5 - 9 years old. The curriculum focuses on the effective teaching of literacy and numeracy acquisition in the early grades, as well as on innovative education practices in the children's own environments.The Main Campus in Windhoek, as well as the Hifikipunye Pohamba (HP) Campus offer a Bachelor of Education-degree in secondary school teaching. At the HP campus students are trained in the teaching of Science school subjects, i.e. Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics education. The Main campus offers all the combinations of secondary school subjects in the country.

The University of Namibia is in the process of restructuring current academic faculties and administrative units. The Faculty of Education will merge with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science and will add teacher education programmes involving Vocational Education, Higher and Comparative Education, as well as STEAME (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics Education). Through a combination of classroom and intensive field experiences, prospective primary teachers (K-6 Teacher Education) master the professional skills needed to provide systematic, individualized instruction to all students, promote student welfare, and serve as effective professional team members across diverse educational settings.

The Secondary Teacher Education programme is designed to prepare individuals to work with students in grades 6-12 in a specific content area. Students may choose to study General Sciences, Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies.
